Southern Oregon Public Television (SOPTV)

Southern Oregon Public Television (SOPTV), is a nonprofit, commercial-free, educational, telecommunications corporation that works with various partners to provide diverse cultural and informational programming and services to viewers within our service area.

As a presenting station, SOPTV will handle the packaging of the documentary, “400 Years of the Telescope”, including closed captioning and descriptive video, in conformity with specific PBS guidelines.

Southern Oregon Public Television (SOPTV) is a presenting station to the national public television distribution system that reaches all public broadcasting stations in the United States (approximately 300). SOPTV-TV has presented programs and series including CRATER LAKE: Mirror of Heaven, and most recently, Sierra Center Stage, a weekly television series of one hour programs featuring live performances and artist interviews taped at the Sierra Nevada Brewery’s beautiful Big Room in Chico, California. This series showcases Grammy-winning or Grammy-nominated artists of exceptional talent.
